three milks please!

Yummy yummy in my tummy! This week in Texas has been quite eventful. The dance studio I work for, has been hosting an all out bonanza!!! of FREE CLASSES ranging in hip-hop, pop-n-locking, jazz, ballet, contemporary, break dancing, and housing! The studio has been receiving great numbers in traffic that is comming through the studio! Its quite a site to see. So many people who are thriving to become better at what they love, and are passionate about. It is really just something you've got to see! The reason I feel pretty good about this, is because for the passed 9 or 10 months, ive been able to wittness the progression of the business out side of the studio, such as bookings, gigs, work-shops, flights, fights, and the drama. To me its not only what you see now, but what you were able to see as you were on your way. But what is a successful business without these things?? in my honest opinion.... NOTHING. Its really something that you have to go through in order to realize just how far along you've made it. I have been fortunate enough to really experience one of the biggest first hand internships of my lifetime!!! If you would ask me what i would be doing 9 months ago, had i not answered the phone knowing i was 3 hours late to my first photoshoot, honestly probably....NOTHING, at least of this caliber. So for me to be able to see the progression with my own four eyes, it is something I really can't put into words. It's almost comparable to a winning shot to the championship game, of your senior year! Like tackling the quarter back right before he passes the ball to the number one ranked receiver in your district. In other words, you'll never forget it. Its work but its not work. I can wake up each afternoon, oops I mean morning and actually say I REALLY like what I do as a "job." It's like baking a cake, you bring everything together, you break everything down, and you lay the foundation, and if done properly.... the rest is "icing." The surprises you get from people that you meet on a daily basis, especially at the dance studio, are very memorable, simply because you see their first hand reaction of entering the studio, and the look on their face, as they walk out the door saying "I can't wait till tomorrow!" These are my journey's and my maps to my life, everything "unexpected" and nothing forgotten, thanks for the cake.
